Job Overview
We're looking for a friendly and organised Customer Service Assistant to join our team on a six-month maternity cover contract.

Duties
As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the high level of service Presco is known for. This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Managing shared departmental email inboxes.
- Assisting customers with product enquiries and quotations.
- Following up quotations and making proactive calls to existing and prospective customers.
- Processing and dispatching product samples.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Supporting colleagues across customer service, purchasing, accounts and sales.
- Providing general administrative support and covering other duties when required.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication skills, both over the phone and by email.
- Is organised, reliable and has strong attention to detail.
- Enjoys working in a busy small team environment.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and happy to learn new software systems.
- Has a positive, proactive attitude and enjoys providing excellent customer service.
Previous customer service or office experience would be advantageous, but we are happy to train someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 4:45pm
- 40 hours per week
What We Offer
- Salary: £27,000–£29,000 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.
- Monthly company bonus scheme, with the opportunity to earn bonuses equivalent to approximately £1,500–£2,500 per year (pro rata), subject to company performance.
- 28 days annual leave (pro rata), plus bank holidays, with three days of annual leave to be reserved for our Christmas shutdown.

Additional Information
Full training will be provided, including on our Orderwise system, and you'll receive regular support throughout your induction.
