Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pot Washer to join our busy kitchen team in <LOCATION>. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our culinary environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are hygienically cleaned and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and an interest in the hospitality industry. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a dynamic hospitality setting.
Duties
- Responsible for thoroughly washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ensure all items are sanitised according to health and safety standards before returning them to storage or use.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and surrounding surfaces.
- Assist with organising clean kitchenware to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Follow all hygiene and safety procedures diligently to uphold high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or working within a restaurant or hotel environment is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team.
