JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Part Time Art Teacher
REPORTS TO: Partner, Thames Ditton
TERMS: 2x 3hr classes per week on a Wednesday
PURPOSE OF JOB: The position of Art Teacher plays a vital role in the running of the ColourWheel classes. Providing teaching to adult beginners and improvers. Classes will generally be restricted to 20 students in each morning and afternoon session. The Partner will act as a teaching assistant and manage all set up and tidy away so you will be able to focus on teaching.

· Possess excellent subject knowledge

· Ability to proactively sell and promote the school, courses and events to prospective students
· Must be courteous and helpful under all circumstances
· Curriculum development
· Excellent organisation skills
· Problem solving in the absence of the Partner
· Possess at least two years’ experience in a similar role
MAJOR DUTIES:
The duties below represent the main tasks undertaken by the Teacher
· Plan and deliver a variety of entertaining and engaging art classes using different mediums
· Produce student notes to accompany each lesson
· Ensure that pupils are taught in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
· Giving feedback on student’s progress at the end of each course
· Implementing all the policies for The ColourWheel Art Class
· Keep all teaching materials up to date

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
