Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented UPVC Window Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) windows and doors to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help transform spaces, improve building insulation, and enhance overall property value. Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately to ensure proper fitment of UPVC units
- Remove old windows and prepare the site for new installations with appropriate tools and safety procedures
- Fit, secure, and seal UPVC windows and doors using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Adjust hardware, hinges, locks, and handles to ensure smooth operation and security
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics and technical drawings for precise installation
- Conduct quality checks post-installation to verify proper alignment, sealing, and insulation
- Maintain a clean work area, adhere to safety standards, and document completed work as required
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, saws, and levels
- Experience with power tools including grinders, drills, and cutting equipment
- Knowledge of construction practices related to roofing, masonry, carpentry, plastering, and painting enhances versatility
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication plans for accurate installation
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, welding, and roofing is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong construction experience with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and adapt to different site conditions
