Barnsley Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Individual Giving and Supporter Care Team Manager to join our Income Generation Team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our Individual Giving and Supporter Care programme, helping to maximise sustainable income that enables Barnsley Hospice to continue providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care across our community.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will lead the Individual Giving Team and oversee a varied portfolio including regular giving, hospice lottery, direct mail appeals, supporter care, legacy and in-memory fundraising. You will develop innovative fundraising campaigns, strengthen supporter journeys and ensure our supporters receive an outstanding experience at every stage of their relationship with the Hospice.
You will also manage campaign performance, monitor income and expenditure, use our CRM to analyse campaign success, and identify opportunities to grow long-term supporter engagement and income.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the Individual Giving Team through effective leadership and performance management.
- Develop and deliver an ambitious Individual Giving strategy to maximise sustainable income.
- Manage fundraising campaigns including Lottery, Direct Mail, Regular Giving, Legacy and In Memory fundraising.
- Develop engaging supporter journeys to improve supporter retention and repeat giving.
- Monitor campaign performance, budgets and KPIs, reporting regularly to the Head of Fundraising.
- Maintain excellent supporter care and ensure an exceptional supporter experience.
- Build strong relationships with external suppliers and fundraising partners.
- Use the Hospice CRM to analyse campaign performance, produce reports and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
- Salary: £36,515 per annum
- Location: Barnsley Hospice, Gawber, Barnsley
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has significant experience working in Individual Giving fundraising within the charity sector.
- Has experience managing fundraising campaigns, including regular giving, lottery and direct mail.
- Has proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Has strong financial and budget management skills.
- Is confident using CRM systems to analyse data, monitor performance and produce reports.
- Has excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Has a strong understanding of fundraising legislation, compliance and best practice.
- Is passionate about delivering an outstanding supporter experience.
