Prestige Cleaning and Maintenance Ltd is a long-established commercial cleaning company providing high-quality cleaning services across the Southwest. We employ around 150 staff, including cleaners, site supervisors and management personnel, delivering services across a wide range of commercial premises.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Director / Head of Operations to take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the business, providing strategic leadership across service delivery, client relationships, people management and business improvement to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The Role
We are seeking a relentless, high-performing, and physically fit Operations Director to take full day-to-day control of our business infrastructure. This is not a deskbound, theoretical role. You will be the central pillar of the company, driving efficiency, managing senior staff, and ensuring our massive field workforce operates seamlessly.
This role demands a high level of dedication, personal agility, and the ability to react calmly and swiftly to live operational emergencies and last-minute client requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Senior Leadership: Direct line management of the HR Manager and Area Manager(s), ensuring company policies and growth targets are met.
- Workforce Logistics: Oversee and coordinate the schedules for 2 Mobile Support Supervisors who handle sickness cover, emergency call-outs, and one-off deep cleans.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor, prepare, and execute accurate staff wages and bank transfers for 150+ personnel.
- Commercial Growth: Conduct site surveys, calculate precise margins, and produce winning commercial cleaning quotations.
- Account Management: Act as the primary escalation point for high-value client accounts, resolving queries and building long-term relationships.
- Crisis Management: Actively manage out-of-hours emergencies, ensuring service continuity regardless of the challenge.
