MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Machine Operator – Split Shifts – Afternoon and Night Shift
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The role of Machine Operator will be to ensure the safe and efficient running of our injection moulding and associated machines to the required quality standards.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fill material hoppers/bowl feeders with the correct materials/products
- Check quality of products and record these checks
- Empty product catch boxes into transit cartons. Seal boxes and palletise
- Identify non-conforming product to a team leader
- Regrind sprues and rejects in the correct grinding machine
- Work as part of a team and communicate any problems with your fellow shift workers at the end of your shift.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and submit justification/reasons to Management
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Company – such as operate semi-automatic assembly machines.
- To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation
ASSISTS / CO-OPERATES
- With Production Manager, QA Manager, QA Operatives, Assembly Machine Operatives
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
- Experience of a factory environment beneficial but not essential
- All necessary training will be given, so a willingness to learn is important.
- The role is quite physically demanding, so a reasonable level of fitness would be an advantage.
- The ability to work in a methodical manner would also be an advantage.
REMUNERATION
- £15.00 per Hour with opportunity for increase subject to technical / leadership ability
- 40 hours per week
- 2 weeks on Afternoon Shift 2PM-10PM working hours – Monday to Friday, then 2 weeks on Night Shift 10PM-6AM - alternating continuous pattern
- £20 per week full attendance bonus at discretion of management
Pay: £15.00 per hour
