Typical Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday

We are a leading air distribution manufacturing company, specialising in producing high-quality HVAC products, including diffusers, grilles, dampers and louvres. Operating across three manufacturing facilities in the Stoke-on-Trent area, our capabilities include general assembly, sheet metal fabrication, welding, powder coating and power press operations.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Manufacturing Operative to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing while receiving full training in welding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery, hand tools and cutting equipment used in the manufacture of air distribution products.
- Carry out fabrication techniques including cutting, drilling, grinding, deburring and finishing welded components.
- Carry out the assembly, fabrication, packaging and quality control of components.
- Follow production schedules, engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Support the production planning process by ensuring work is completed in line with production schedules and reporting any material shortages, quality concerns or production delays.
- Assist with the preparation, fabrication and welding of components, with the opportunity to receive full training in welding operations within the business.
- Inspect completed work to ensure weld quality and dimensional accuracy meet company standards.
- Support general fabrication and manufacturing activities across multiple departments as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all products meet the company's high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an efficient workflow and achieve production targets.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role to support the needs of the business.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential.
- A practical, hands-on approach with an interest in engineering, fabrication and welding.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
- A Full UK Driving Licence and Forklift Truck Licence are advantageous but not essential.
