Overview
We are seeking a proven team player with a friendly attitude to deal with the unloading and organisation of incoming goods to our busy pet supplies premises in Ayr. The successful candidate will need to be physically fit as manual handling is a large part of the job and experience with a pallet truck is preferred. A strong regard for health and safety is necessary as is a tidy approach to the work area and the ability to maintain the storage systems already in place. There will be minimal contact with the general public other than taking heavy goods to their cars.
Anticipated hours are Tuesday to Friday from 10am until 4pm
Responsibilities
- Breaking down of pallet orders for storage in freezers or dry store room
- Movement of stock from storage to display shelves and freezers in the shop
- Utilise organisational skills to optimise storage space
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving
This role is suitable for reliable and motivated individuals seeking to contribute to a thriving retail environment.
Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
