Due to continued growth and investment, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Tynedale Roadstone Limited, Longhoughton Quarry, Alnwick, NE66 3AE.

The Role
Working as part of an experienced operational team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment within the quarry environment.
Key responsibilities include:
· Operating a variety of mobile plant machinery safely and efficiently.
· Loading and feeding crushing and screening equipment.
· Carrying out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks.
· Reporting defects and ensuring equipment remains in safe working condition.
· Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site.
· Working in accordance with site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
· Assisting with general quarry operations as required.
· Supporting colleagues to ensure production targets and customer requirements are achieved.
· Completing all required documentation accurately and on time.
What We Are Looking For
· Valid CPCS card with relevant plant operating experience.
· Additional CPCS qualifications would be advantageous.
· Experience operating a range of mobile plant machinery.
· Previous experience within quarrying, aggregates, recycling, screening, or similar heavy industry environments.
· Full, clean UK driving licence.
· Ability to carry out daily maintenance checks and complete records accurately.
· Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Flexible approach to working hours to meet operational demands.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
· Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Working Hours
· Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am – 5:00pm.
· Saturdays as required
