Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding, nurturing care for young children within their home environment.
- Handle weekly routine logistics, including safe drop-offs and pick-ups from school, nursery, and after-school clubs.
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities to encourage early years development.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized environment in child-centered areas of the home.
- Maintain open, professional communication with parents regarding daily routines and updates.
What You’ll Need to Apply (Essential):
- Proven Experience: Strong background in early years, childminding, or professional nannying.
- Reliable Transport: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for school runs and activities).
- Background Check: A clean, enhanced DBS check, preferably registered to the update service (or a willingness to undergo one immediately).
- Tax Status: Registered (or willing to register) as self-employed with HMRC.
- Traits: Excellent time management skills, an approachable demeanor, and a genuine passion for working with families.
What Will Make Your Application Stand Out (Desirable):
- Valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certification.
- Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Early Years or equivalent).
- Business car insurance and public liability cover.
