We are seeking a dedicated domestic and laundry assistant to join our team. As a domestic you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health and safety policies and procedures. If you have experience in commercial cleaning , we would love to hear from you. You will also be expected to cover the laundry, working with machines, taking care of the residents clothing, ironing, and returning to residents rooms are some of the tasks that you will be required to complete.
You must have means of transport to start shift at 8am including weekends and bank holidays. We do not have a sponsorship license.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, sanitising, mopping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitise toilets and replenish supplies
- Empty bins and dispose of waste properly
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as lounge areas or hallways
- Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
Requirements:
Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred
knowledge of COSHH
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to cleaning protocols
Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
