Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition.
- Support with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Drive clients or residents when necessary, ensuring safe transportation for appointments or outings.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure consistent care delivery.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including infection control procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary.
- Awareness of health and safety standards relevant to healthcare environments.

CARE HOME EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL
38 bed Dementia Nursing Home in Water Orton. Caring nature is essential. Weekends included. Training and induction is given and level 2 encouraged to start if not already done for Carer job role.
Shifts are 08:00-20:00 for days and 20:00-08:00 for nights
Must be available to cover at short notice.
Online DBS preferred.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
