Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Print Finishing Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining print finishing equipment, to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of printed materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of finishing equipment, including:
- Saddle stitchers
- Folding machines
- Packing
- Drilling
- Warehousing
- Set up machines according to job specifications and customer requirements.
- Inspect and verify job instructions and quality throughout the finishing process.
- Adjust machine settings for optimal performance and product quality.
- Monitor workflow to ensure production deadlines are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Always ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
- Collaborate with other production team members and departments to optimize workflow.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and finishing specifications.
- Basic understanding of print production and quality control.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to lift moderate loads.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with other finishing processes such as laminating, binding.
- Experience in stitching/guillotine.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Quality focused with good communication skills.
- Positive approach and ability to work under pressure.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8am–4:30pm (1hr Lunch) – overtime and flexibility required.
