Job Summary
We are a small Registered Charity seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in our specialist small 4 bedded residential home. This role requires a patient and empathetic approach to enhance the quality of life for those in our care. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, medication administration, and behaviour management.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while promoting dignity and respect.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in residential care, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
- A genuine passion for caring for others and improving their quality of life is crucial for success in this role.
