Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and career driven Private Client Paralegal, specialising in will drafting, probate and powers of attorney. Knowledge of inheritance tax and basic trusts would also be valued.
The successful candidate will be working closely with the Principal of the firm to support the growth of the department. You will be dealing with a mix of privately funded private client matters. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable law firm and make a significant impact in the lives of our clients. We are currently advertising for a Qualified Solicitor but will consider an experienced Paralegal and are happy to consider candidates looking to commence an immediate training contract. Salary scale will be negotiated depending upon experience
About the role
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to clients
- Draft and review legal documents
- Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in legislation
- Manage a caseload of private client files, ensuring all deadlines are met and clients are kept informed of progress
- Attend meetings with clients to discuss their needs and provide appropriate legal solutions
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to provide a seamless service to clients
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and case details
About you
The ideal candidate must have:
- Already completed SQE or LPC (if applying for the training contract option)
- A strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service
Due to the "client facing" nature of the role, homeworking is not ideal for this position, however some flexible arrangements could be discussed at interview for the right candidate.
