About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Customer Support & Sales Coordinator to join our team. This is a varied and fast-paced role that sits at the heart of the business, working closely with our Engineering, Production, Accounts, Management teams, and our overseas manufacturing partner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, quotations, sales orders, returns, complaints, and technical requests while ensuring an exceptional level of customer service is always maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide customers with documentation, technical specifications, and product information.
- Process and manage customer quotations, proformas, and sales orders using Sage.
- Coordinate customer orders with Production, Engineering, Accounts, and overseas factories.
- Monitor back orders and delivery schedules, keeping customers informed of progress and any delays.
- Handle customer complaints, coordinate investigations, and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Process sales returns and credit requests.
- Log and coordinate technical enquiries and test requests with the Technical Department.
- Maintain accurate customer records and pricing information within Sage.
- Follow up on quotations, proforma invoices, and outstanding customer requests.
- Produce reports and support management with administrative and operational tasks.
- Escalate issues where necessary to ensure customers receive prompt and satisfactory outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, order processing, or customer coordination role.
- Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal departments.
- Experience using Sage 200 or similar business software would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.
