We are looking for a production operator to join the team, helping us manufacture packaging items using materials like corrugated, wood, and foam. You must be used to working in a factory environment and have experience running a machine. This is a great opportunity to join a company where you will get fully trained on operating industry-specific machinery.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cutting up sheets to exact sizes and dimensions
- Working precisely from technical job sheets and instructions
- Assisting with packaging assembly
- Helping run and monitor factory machinery safely
- Measuring materials accurately with strict attention to detail
- Maintaining high standards of product quality control
- General factory duties as required
- Working strictly to health and safety standards and company policies [1, 2, 3]
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience with packaging materials (including wood and timber handling) an advantage
- Previous factory or production experience
- Able to complete manual handling tasks safely
- Must be a good team player
- Some lifting is required
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (3:30 PM finish on Friday)
