Job Summary
Emerald Decorators are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorators to join our team. The successful candidate's will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards and attention to detail. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, contributing to the aesthetic and protective aspects of buildings. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of Painting & Decorating.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to discuss project requirements and progress.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project.
- Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate finishes based on client preferences.
- Travel between different sites as required, ensuring timely completion of projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is essential.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate site travel.
- Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills to understand project requirements and provide updates.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
