For more than 60 years Dandini’s Dog Grooming has been grooming dogs and cats in the Portsmouth area. While our dog grooming business may be half a century old, our techniques are right up to date! That’s why Hampshire dog owners travel to Dandini’s – they want their dogs to be well-groomed, and well cared for, by professional groomers in relaxed surroundings.

An exciting opportunity has become available at Dandini’s Dog Grooming, Portsmouth to start your career in dog grooming in the best way possible. Work and learn alongside many experienced, award winning dog groomers with a dedicated training school onsite. We are once again ready to expand and welcome a fun and friendly individual who has a passion for dogs and is ready to learn a rewarding career.
Duties will include but are not limited to;
Bathing, drying, and prepping dogs
Dealing with clients, bookings, and phone calls
Cleaning and maintaining the salon to a high standard
Helping to create and post content on our social media pages
Theory alongside the apprenticeship
Clipping and Scissoring
Opportunities to attend seminars and competitions with the team

Desired Qualifications
Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or above in dog grooming.
Maths and English level 4 or above (equivalent to a C) is desired but not essential.
Future Progression
Our previous apprenticeship applicant has stayed with us since she completed and has been with us for 13 years.
Training
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
