Kitchen Porter – Urban Reef
Location: Urban Reef, Bournemouth
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Schedule: Daytime, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and help maintain the high standards required across our busy operation.
The Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be an important part of the kitchen team, helping to keep the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently throughout service.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role and would suit someone with a strong work ethic who enjoys being part of a busy team.
Your responsibilities will include:

Operating the dishwasher and pot-wash areas throughout service

Washing and organising plates, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment

Maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen

Keeping floors, work areas, storage areas and equipment clean and organised

Emptying bins and correctly managing general waste, recycling and food waste

Assisting with deliveries and putting stock away correctly

Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required

Keeping chef stations supplied with clean equipment during busy services

Completing daily and scheduled kitchen cleaning tasks

Assisting with kitchen opening and closing procedures

Following all food hygiene, health & safety and COSHH procedures

Reporting maintenance, equipment or food-safety concerns promptly

Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever required

Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or within a commercial kitchen is essential. Full training can be provided to the right person with a strong attitude and willingness to learn.
