We are looking for a Sales Ledger Cash Clerk to join our Office based team at Head Office in Pocklington.
Job Title:
Sales Ledger Cash Clerk – part-time position 24 hours (Job Share)
Working hours:
8.30am – 5pm
Office Role- 3 days a week

Responsible to:
Head of Credit Control
Main purpose of Job
To ensure the smooth running of the processing of transactions and ledger postings with great accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Counting cash payments and allocating to customer accounts
- Allocating card payments, cheques and BAC’s payments to customer accounts
- Investigating unallocated cash and liaising with customers/Credit Controllers to resolve any issues
- Resolving queries with regard to customer payments
- Accurate account reconciliations
- Responsible for ensuring the cash is recorded and bagged accurately, ready for the courier in a timely manner
- Cover for full-time Sales Ledger Cash Clerks (holidays and sickness)
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
Role Requirements:
- GCSE Maths & English
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- The ability to work to strict deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
