Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food production processes to maintain consistency and quality
- Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Organise and oversee food service during busy periods, including serving guests when required
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control effectively
- Collaborate with management on menu development and special event planning
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
- Sound understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
- Experience in food production, culinary arts, and serving guests is preferred
