The Asset Data & Information Manager is responsible for leading the governance, management, and continuous improvement of asset data within CMMS/CAFM systems.
The role ensures all asset information and system changes are controlled, compliant, risk-based, and fully auditable, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the asset register across the organisation’s estate portfolio.
Location: Open to candidates nationwide. Hybrid role with regular travel to sites as required.
Job Description
Leading the Asset Data team, the role provides direction, technical expertise, and oversight to ensure effective delivery of asset data management activities.
The Asset Data & Information Manager develops reporting and dashboard solutions, drives data quality and assurance, and identifies opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency to maximise asset lifecycle value and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end asset change process, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and data updates meet governance standards.
- Lead and manage the Asset Data team, providing direction, technical expertise, and ensuring activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the asset register, ensuring it reflects the organisation’s estate portfolio.
- Manage asset and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) data updates, including reconciliations and dependency checks to maintain data quality and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with asset data governance frameworks, maintaining robust controls, auditability, and data integrity across all asset-related changes.
- Develop and enhance reporting, dashboards, and management information to support decision-making and asset lifecycle value.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives, including the transition from manual asset change processes to digital self-service solutions.
- Collaborate with asset management stakeholders to improve data quality, strengthen governance, and support strategic asset objectives.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience within asset management or maintenance environments, with strong knowledge of PPM and asset data governance.
- Experience governing asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM/EAM systems, ensuring compliant and auditable delivery.
- Strong people management skills, with experience leading teams responsible for high-volume, structured data.
- Ability to maintain data accuracy, quality, and audit readiness through effective governance and controls.
- Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical, operational, and governance functions.
- Strategic and risk-aware approach, driving a quality-led continuous improvement culture.
- Experience developing reporting solutions, dashboards, and management information to support decision-making.
- Must hold a UK driving licence (car/car allowance provided).
