Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roof Sheeting & Cladding Mate to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing and securing roof sheeting and cladding materials on various building projects. Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of roof sheeting and cladding using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate placement of materials
- Operate welding equipment and perform basic welding tasks when required for secure fittings
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, levels, and measuring devices to ensure precise installation
- Handle heavy lifting and material transportation safely across the site while adhering to safety protocols
- Support carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and roofing teams with fabrication and assembly tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly for efficiency and safety
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or cladding projects is highly desirable
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or blueprints is essential for accurate installation
- Hands-on experience with welding, power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques is preferred
- Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods will be advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when required
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, or carpentry practices is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
