Edinburgh family seeking part-time, live-out housekeeper for long-term relationship.
Our wonderful housekeeper of the last five years has left us due to illness and we are looking to find someone new to support with the cleaning and house management of our bustling home and lives. Our household includes my husband and I, who regularly work from home, our two teenage children, a lovely small puppy and low-maintenance tortoise.
We’re looking for a trustworthy individual to help us keep our house clean and running smoothly for 12 hours a week spread over two days (ideally Monday and Thursday to be determined). Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the entire house
- General tidying and cleaning
- Laundry and ironing
- Occasional household management, including overseeing appointments with tradesmen, gardeners, receiving deliveries, etc.
- Periodic deeper cleaning
- Helping get the house ready for guests (changing and cleaning linens, etc.)
- Watching our puppy at home for brief periods if we are working
Occasional overnight dogsitting/housesitting may be requested but not required (to be negotiated for additional pay)
Details and requirements:
- Must have existing legal permission to work in the UK
- Fluent English or Spanish speaker
- A genuine dog lover
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Hardworking with a positive attitude
- References essential and DBS check required
Two paid trial days will be a part of the interview process.
Pay: £18.00 per hour
