The Lower New Inn is getting ready to welcome the community back, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join our bar team.
We want to create a proper community pub, somewhere guests can enjoy a relaxed drink, catch up with friends, join us for an event or settle in for the evening. Our bar team will be at the heart of that experience, offering a warm welcome and helping everyone feel at home.
The role
As a Bar Team Member, you’ll serve drinks, take orders and spend plenty of time chatting with our guests. You’ll help prepare the bar for service, keep it clean and well stocked, and work closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams.
Whether you’re remembering a regular’s usual order, recommending something new or serving a busy crowd on quiz night, you’ll make sure every guest receives friendly and attentive service.
About you
Previous bar or hospitality experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. We’re much more interested in finding people with the right attitude.
You’ll be:
- Naturally friendly and confident speaking with guests
- Reliable, positive and ready to get stuck in
- Calm and organised during busy services
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
- Responsible when serving alcohol and following licensing requirements
- Proud of keeping the bar clean, welcoming and well presented
- Available for a mixture of weekday, evening and weekend shifts
We’ll provide training on our drinks, equipment and ways of working, so you’ll have everything you need to feel confident behind the bar.
