We're looking for a proactive and collaborative individual to join our growing team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad HR remit and wants to play a key role in supporting both our internal people agenda and our external HR consultancy clients.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you'll become an integral part of the team, providing practical, commercially focused HR support across the employee lifecycle. No two days are the same – from developing people policies, recruiting great talent, to supporting managers with employee relations matters and delivering exceptional client service.
This role would suit someone who is naturally curious, enjoys working with a wide range of people and takes pride in building trusted relationships. We're looking for someone who brings good HR knowledge, but equally enjoys the people side of the role and making a positive difference to colleagues, managers and clients alike.
The Role
Working with the HR Manager across both our internal people function and external HR consultancy services you will be:
- Supporting colleagues, managers and clients across a broad range of HR activities and people matters.
- Drafting and developing HR policies, procedures and employee documentation to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Managing recruitment and onboarding activities across a variety of roles.
- Overseeing absence management processes and providing practical guidance to line managers.
- Supporting on people projects, organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Managing employee lifecycle activities including contract changes, family leave and flexible working requests.
- Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and data protection requirements.
- Supporting on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, investigations and probation reviews.
- Building positive relationships with colleagues, managers and clients, helping to deliver a first-class HR service.
What We're Looking For
You will have experience in a broad HR role and enjoy working across a varied remit. You are comfortable balancing the technical aspects of HR with building strong relationships and delivering practical solutions.
- Experience in an HR generalist or people advisor role, ideally within an SME, professional services or consultancy environment.
- Good understanding of HR principles, employment law and best practice.
- Experience drafting and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Experience managing recruitment and onboarding across a range of roles and levels.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters and advising line managers on people-related issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to work collaboratively whilst taking ownership of your contribution.
- Familiarity with managing data via HR platforms across HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems).
Qualifications
- Ideally you will have CIPD Level 5 qualification (or be working towards it), or equivalent demonstrable HR experience.
- UK driving licence and access to own transport.
- The right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role.
This is a hybrid role but will include regular travel to our offices in Cranfield near Milton Keynes.

Pay: £34,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
