Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. The ideal applicant will have experience working with children, possess strong communication skills, and hold relevant early childhood education qualifications.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and nap times to ensure safety and well-being
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Lead and supervise junior staff or apprentices as required, demonstrating management and leadership qualities
- Ensure compliance with nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding regulations
- Assist in the organisation of nursery events and outings while ensuring children's safety at all times
- Keep accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
- Childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent recognised early childhood education certification
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
- Organised with the ability to plan engaging activities that support early childhood development
- Passionate about childcare with a caring attitude towards young children

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,412.11 per year
