We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Barbering to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with industry experience to inspire and develop the next generation of barbering professionals.
We are looking for a well-qualified individual with a background in industry to teach on our level 2 barbering programme.Applicants must have a barbering qualification or have covered barbering units within a hairdressing qualification. An ability to also teach hairdressing would be an advantage but not essential. Many of our vocational staff have joined us from industry and made successful career moves into post 16 education.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering high quality, engaging lessons which develop the skills and attributes young people need to work in the barbering sector.
This is a part-time role, over three days a week 0.43 – Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There may be opportunity for additional hours for someone who can contribute to other areas such as hairdressing.
The College welcomes applications from experienced teachers as well as experienced professionals who would like to change careers and enter teaching.
The College offers a Post Graduate Certificate in education through Brighton University and would support the successful candidate.
