About the Role
Stroud District Council is on the lookout for a passionate, people‑focused Housing Officer who’s ready to jump into a role where no two days are ever the same!
If you thrive in a dynamic environment, love solving problems, and enjoy connecting with people, this could be your perfect next step.
As a key member of our Housing Team, you’ll be right at the heart of our communities - working directly with tenants across the district to help them build successful, sustainable tenancies.
You’ll be the friendly face and trusted point of contact for your patch, supporting residents with everything from managing rent accounts to keeping our estates safe, welcoming, and vibrant places to live.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you’re an experienced housing professional who brings:
- Strong tenancy management and enforcement experience within social housing
- A solid understanding of housing legislation and the regulatory framework
- Energy, enthusiasm and a real passion for delivering brilliant customer services
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset – someone who loves to take initiative and make things happen
- A CIH qualification (or you’re working towards one) or extensive housing/income management experience.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares - someone who wants to make a positive difference in people’s lives and contribute to a supportive, forward‑thinking team.
