About Us
SCAPP is Scotland's professional network for widening access and participation practitioners, supporting the development of knowledge, skills, evidence-informed practice and professional standards across the sector.
Our project team of two provides opportunities for professional learning, networking, collaboration and evidence-informed practice to our 950 members. We work closely with further and higher education institutions, public and third sector organisations, and other partners, including Scotland’s Commissioner for Fair Access.
Our work supports Scotland's widening access agenda and the Scottish Government's target for students from the 20% most socio-economically deprived areas (SIMD20) to represent 20% of higher education entrants by 2030. Through our learning opportunities, networks and resources, we strengthen the knowledge, skills and professional practice of those working to improve access, participation and student success across Scotland.
