Job Summary
We are a VW Audi group specialist and we are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Training is available to the successful candidate to gain further qualifications.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, transmission, and other vehicle systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved effectively
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out and parts used
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
- Assist in ordering parts and managing inventory as required
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose vehicle problems accurately
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
- Valid driving licence is preferred but not essential; however, the ability to operate company vehicles is advantageous
