Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning recruitment agency with an excellent Trustpilot rating, is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Obstetric Sonographer to join a specialist ultrasound team in Sheffield on an ongoing locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Obstetric Sonographer, Ultrasound Practitioner, or Diagnostic Imaging Specialist with previous obstetric ultrasound experience. The successful candidate will provide high-quality antenatal ultrasound services across multiple sites while delivering safe, compassionate and patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of obstetric ultrasound examinations to a high clinical standard.
- Undertake antenatal scans and provide accurate clinical assessments.
- Produce clear and detailed ultrasound reports in line with professional standards.
- Ensure patients receive a safe, supportive and compassionate service.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and wider healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow relevant clinical guidelines.
- Support the effective delivery of ultrasound services across multiple locations.
Applicant Requirements
- Current HCPC registration as a Sonographer.
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in obstetric ultrasound.
- Previous NHS obstetric sonography experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge and experience of antenatal scanning procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to travel between sites.

- NHS OBS: 1 year (preferred)
