Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5t Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving and delivery operations to contribute to a dynamic organisation.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5-tonne Box lorry safely and responsibly, adhering to all road safety laws and company policies
- Use a tail lift to safely load and offload goods
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring items are secured during transit
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Qualifications
- Valid 7.5t driving licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods securely
- Ability to operate Tail Lift equipment safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during deliveries
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
