Job Title: Event Assistant
Location: Three Counties Showground, Malvern
Dates: 20 November – 31 December 2026
Wage: £14 per hour
Job Summary
We're looking for a proactive, organised and personable Event Assistant to work alongside the Project Manager and Event Managers to support the on-site delivery of Winter Glow.
You'll be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a can-do attitude. You'll be happy to get stuck in, support the wider team and help wherever needed to ensure the event runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting Christmas Market traders and helping them settle into their allocated stall positions, while assisting with queries throughout their time on-site
- Assisting with the scheduling and management of on-site attraction staff, managing absences and arranging shift cover where needed
- Managing the daily collection of caterer & contractor information and accurately inputting data into a spreadsheet in a timely manner
- Assisting with the management and monitoring of stock levels across various areas of the event
- Assisting with the running of attractions and helping out when required
Requirements
Essential
- Ability to confidently communicate with a wide range of people, from market traders and venue staff to customers and other team members
- Able to work long shifts and have full availability throughout the period from 20 November – 31 December. We expect you'll be needed for approximately 30 days during this period
- Comfortable using a radio. Previous experience isn't required, as training will be provided
- Able to commute to Three Counties Showground, Malvern
Desirable
- Previous experience working in live events is desirable, but not essential
Working Hours & Conditions
- Shifts will range from 7 to 14 hours
- Winter Glow is a mixed indoor and outdoor event and operates in typical winter weather conditions, so appropriate clothing is required
- On-site parking is available
Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour
