Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Setter/Operator specialising in Milling to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement in machining operations. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC milling machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate CNC mills with precision, ensuring parts meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Adjust machine settings and tools as needed during production runs to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, SolidWorks models, and technical drawings for accurate machining.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to prepare materials and assemble components when necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes related to plastics injection molding, welding, or assembly tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC milling operations with a strong understanding of machine setup and calibration.
- Experience with grinding techniques for finishing machined parts.
- Solid knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting design files.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and tooling effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes and related tooling requirements.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and assembly procedures for complex component fabrication.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, safety protocols, and quality control standards in manufacturing environments.

Pay: £13.19-£15.00 per hour
