What does the average day look like?
No two days are the same in this fast-paced and varied role. One morning might begin with coordinating diaries, arranging complex meetings and preparing materials for senior leaders. Later in the day, you could be attending meetings, taking accurate minutes and tracking actions to ensure commitments are followed through and priorities remain on track.
The role also involves organising travel, creating presentations, supporting reporting activities and extracting information from systems such as Power BI. Working closely with senior stakeholders and their teams, you will play an important part in keeping activity organised, ensuring communication flows effectively and providing proactive administrative support across a range of priorities. Confidence using technology and a willingness to embrace new tools, including AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, will help you succeed in the role.
A little bit about the team...
You will join the Chief Technology Team, a large and diverse team of around 125 colleagues made up of managers, planners and technical specialists working across a range of disciplines. It is a collaborative and supportive environment where strong organisation, communication and teamwork are highly valued.
The role provides direct support to the Chief Technology Officer, Senior Programme Manager, Head of Engineering & Technology Strategy and their wider teams. As a central point of coordination, you will help keep activities running smoothly, support key meetings and contribute to the efficient delivery of the team's objectives.
