FOOD & BEVERAGE DUTY MANAGER
Full Time – 40 Hours per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our team.
Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and collaboratively with another Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our clubhouse, bar, restaurant and events business. You will help deliver exceptional service standards for our Members, Guests and Visitors whilst ensuring the smooth running of all food and beverage operations.
This is a hands-on management role requiring a proactive individual who enjoys leading from the front, supporting colleagues and creating memorable experiences for customers. As a designated keyholder, you will be entrusted with opening and closing the clubhouse and ensuring the safety and security of the premises during your shifts.
The successful candidate will have previous hospitality management or supervisory experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Food & Beverage operations during designated shifts.
- Deliver exceptional service to Members, Guests and Visitors.
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving departmental objectives.
- Work collaboratively with the second Duty Manager to provide management coverage across the operation.
- Supervise, motivate and support front-of-house team members.
- Assist with recruitment, induction and training of staff.
- Ensure the successful delivery of golf days, member events, functions, weddings and private events.
- Act as a designated keyholder, opening and closing the clubhouse in accordance with company procedures.
- Carry out reconciliation and end-of-day procedures.
- Support stock control, ordering and cellar management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and licensing regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service throughout the clubhouse.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a hospitality supervisory or management role.
- Strong food and beverage operational knowledge.
- Experience leading teams and managing shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and professional approach to customer service.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Personal Licence Holder desirable but not essential.
