About Us
Rose Roofing is an established, forward-thinking roofing contractor based in Bedford. We have recently relocated to a new commercial facility at Kinsbourne Farm and are actively expanding our operations. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship across both the residential and commercial sectors. To drive our next phase of growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Senior Estimator to join our management team.
The Role
This is a pivotal, revenue-generating role. You will be the commercial engine of the business, responsible for securing high-value commercial contracts while maintaining and optimizing our strong pipeline of domestic residential projects. We are looking for an ambitious professional who can identify new opportunities, price competitively, and help take the company to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Tendering: Actively source, estimate, and submit competitive tenders for larger commercial roofing contracts and local authority works.
- Domestic Quoting: Produce accurate, timely estimates for residential clients. You will streamline this process by utilizing our website's existing online booking and customer photo submission features.
- Site Surveys: Conduct thorough on-site roof inspections, take accurate measurements, and assess material and labour requirements.
- Project Handover: Work closely with the Director and Operations Manager to ensure won projects are seamlessly transitioned to the field teams with clear logistical briefs and material lists.
- Client Management: Build strong relationships with main contractors, surveyors, and domestic clients to encourage repeat business and positive referrals.
- System Management: Utilize Jobber CRM to build professional quotes, track pipeline progress, and follow up on outstanding estimates.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven track record specifically within the roofing industry as an Estimator.
- Experience successfully tendering for commercial contracts and pricing domestic works.
- Strong commercial awareness and a deep understanding of current material costs and labour rates.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to close sales and negotiate with suppliers.
- Proficiency with CRM and estimating software (experience with Jobber is highly advantageous).
- A valid UK driving licence.
The Package
- Base Salary: £40,000-£60,000 OTE (Dependent on experience)
- Performance Bonus: Uncapped earning potential through our transparent Monthly Revenue Bonus Scheme
