Duties
- Design and deliver customized piano lessons tailored to each student’s age, skill level, and learning style
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Incorporate music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance techniques into lessons
- Prepare students for recitals, exams, or performances to showcase their progress
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student achievements
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about student progress and upcoming events
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching piano to diverse age groups, including children and adults
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain musical concepts and techniques
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and create an engaging learning atmosphere
- Experience working with children with special needs or in special education settings is a plus
- Skills in proofreading or reviewing music sheets for accuracy and clarity
- Background in tutoring or providing additional academic support in subjects like math or creative writing is advantageous
- Childcare experience or familiarity with preschool environments enhances your effectiveness as an instructor
- Experience teaching physical education or movement-based activities can help integrate kinesthetic learning methods
