1. To maintain case notes in the department in good condition and repair damaged notes as and when required.
2. Compile case notes for new patient attendees at clinic.
3. Collect and distribute patient case notes or urgent items manually when required to and from other areas of the hospital.
4. Retrieve and return hospital case notes from other departments within the hospital as and when requested by the medical staff.
5. Assist in setting up own work area as appropriate
6. Open and prioritise incoming mail ensuring distribution to the appropriate person.
7. To receive and direct visitors and relatives in a professional and courteous manner at all times and assist in answering queries.
8. On patient’s arrival in the department, on a one to one basis, go through registration process with patient.
