Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person to join our vibrant hospitality team for our Bar & Nightclub. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment, engaging with diverse guests while showcasing your hospitality skills. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables
- Weekend working in our fast paced Nightclub will be required.
- Prepare and present drinks according to standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including alcohol, mixers, and garnishes
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any queries or concerns
- Adhere to food safety standards and health & safety regulations at all times
- Assist in setting up for events or special occasions as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and giving correct change
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Knowledge of restaurant or bar operations is desirable
- A responsible attitude towards alcohol service and guest safety
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or shifts as required by the venue
