We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality food production. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as you will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating events, and maintaining inventory control while adhering to food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of catering operations, including planning, execution, and post-event evaluations.
- Supervise and train staff in food preparation, service standards, and safety protocols.
- Oversee inventory control and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
- Collaborate with clients to create customized catering menus that meet their needs and preferences.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation in both casual dining and fine dining settings.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in all kitchen operations.
- Develop budgets for catering events and manage costs effectively.
- Lead team meetings to foster communication, training & development, and motivation among staff members.
- Coordinate with other departments within the hospitality environment to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or catering management roles.
- Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting in the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
- Leadership abilities with experience in team management, training & development, and supervising staff.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in banquet operations or casual dining settings is preferred.
