We are looking for someone to join our small friendly team on a permanent contract (48 hours per week) working the following shifts.
Saturday 0600-1800
Sunday 0600-1800
Monday 1800-0600
Tuesday 1800-0600
Applicants must be aged 18+ and hold a valid SIA licence.
Own transport essential in order to travel to site.
Applicants must have a minimum five year checkable work or back to school history. Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Days/nights/weekend/bank holiday working may be required.
Rate of Pay: £12.75 per hour after training
Training rate - living wage £12.71
28 days annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Uniform and training provided.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Checking of staff, contractors and visitor on/off site
- Controlling authorised access/egress of pedestrian and vehicular traffic on and off site
- Writing reports
- To effectively deal with all incidents falling within the security remit and to report all incidents to the relevant authority
- Provide a customer friendly, reassuring, professional security presence
- Manage logbooks and reports by recording observations, occurrences and surveillance activities
- Provide a locking service, locking doors and gates as required
- Protect property against destruction, damage and theft
- To conduct regular, highly visible patrols of the premises
Experience
- Proven work experience as a Security officer an advantage but not essential
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Reliable and conscientious
Licences
- A valid SIA licence is essential
- Driving licence is an advantage.
- Own transport essential due to location of site
