Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Workshop and Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support daily workshop operations and production processes including wiring, strip down and assembly of generators as well as, use of winding machines, equipment maintenance, and general tasks that keep our workflow smooth and efficient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the successful one time delivery of projects. Your proactive attitude and mechanical aptitude and ability to produce intricate electronic assemblies will help ensure our workshop runs seamlessly, supporting overall production goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the disassembly, repair and assembly of products or components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Support maintenance of workshop areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision, following all safety protocols.
- Help with inventory management by organizing materials, supplies, and equipment within the workshop space.
- Support team members with various production tasks, as required
- Follow detailed instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Skills
- Training will be given however you must be ale to demonstrate:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand basic machine functions and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and following manuals and translating given information into consistent and accurate work flow.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and hammers.
- Experience operating power tools like drills, saws, or grinders.
- Ability to assemble components accurately according to specifications or instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
