Do you have a genuine passion for working with babies and young toddlers?
Little Greenfields Preschool CIC is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and nurturing Level 3 Early Years Educator to lead and develop our dedicated Caterpillars area for children under 2 years old.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team as we continue to develop our unique preschool environment. We are looking for someone who understands that babies learn through secure relationships, exploration and play, and who enjoys creating warm, engaging experiences that promote confidence, curiosity and independence.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Has experience working with babies and children under 2 years.
- Is warm, patient and nurturing.
- Understands child development and the importance of responsive interactions.
- Can provide a safe, stimulating and enabling environment.
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Works well as part of a team whilst using their own initiative.
- Has excellent communication skills and enjoys building positive relationships with families.
The role will include:
- Supporting the learning and development of children under 2 years.
- Planning age-appropriate experiences that promote exploration, communication and early development.
- Building secure attachments and responding sensitively to children's individual needs.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education.
- Maintaining accurate records where required.
- Supporting children's personal care routines.
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
- Working in partnership with parents and carers.
