Duties
- Conduct detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on mobile equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
- Perform fabrication, welding, soldering, and electrical work using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately.
- Assemble new components or machinery parts following precise specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting or equipment handling.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Use heavy-duty tools to perform welding, fabrication, or mechanical adjustments on-site or in the workshop.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repair status or maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hydraulic, fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical work, or mechanical assembly.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant certifications in welding, electrical work, or machinery operation are advantageous but not mandatory.
