Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
- Repair or replace faulty components, including performing welding when necessary
- Assemble new equipment or parts according to technical specifications
- Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely during maintenance tasks
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move or install equipment or parts
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts utilised
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally and promptly
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical diagrams
- Extensive mechanical knowledge across various machinery types
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair processes
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices for industrial machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively
