Minoa Education is a growing family of nurseries, brought together by a common purpose to provide exceptional early years education to every child. The Minoa family currently consists of 9 nurseries in London, Wiltshire and the West Midlands.
We're thrilled to say that we are expanding our team, and we're now on the lookout for a finance associate to join our central office team based in West London.
Main Duties
Accounting:
- Helping to maintain accurate financial records
- Reviewing transactions to ensure they are classified correctly
- Posting manual journals
- Compiling income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements for monthly management accounts
Budgeting:
- Preparing annual operating cost budgets
- Ongoing monitoring of setting-level budgets
- Conducting monthly variance analysis
- Analysing spending across the business to identify potential cost-savings
Reporting:
- Implementing processes and controls to standardise reporting across settings
- Carrying out KPI analysis across key areas including sales, staffing and operations
Payroll:
- Reviewing and processing payroll adjustments
- Preparing monthly payslips and HMRC submissions
- Helping to manage pensions and other employee benefits
M&A:
- Helping to identify potential new acquisitions
- Carrying out financial due diligence over target settings
- Financial modelling and sensitivity analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (2:1 or above)
- A-Level Maths (or equivalent)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset
- Close attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work
- Background in accounting (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS background check & 2 references required before employment commences
Additional Information
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Location: Office-based (3 to 4 days per week)
- Holiday Allowance: 25 days, plus bank holidays
- Sponsorship of ACCA or CIMA qualification after successful completion of probation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,500.00 per year
